I'm using Mangos and installed via Jerry's Installation Instructions. First - thanks for the instructions Jerry. Everything is working up to the point where I am trying to log in. I am using 3.0.9 and upon login am getting the following message on the game client:
Any idea how to resolve this issue?"Unable to validate game version...blah blah blah...articleId=21031] for more information..."
Thanks in advance,
Snowblind
No Repack - just step by step followed your instructions - ran into a little confusion on where to put files after compiling and doing the map part, but I think I worked it out and the server seems to be up and running to the point that I could add an account via the Dos Interface.
I just can't log into the server from a client. (Same Machine)
I can log into Serbia's World - well I can log in engough to see that the world is off line anyway...
I am going to go through the process again this morning and try again since it doesn't appear to be the client side giving the trouble.

I think I know what I might have done.
I updated one of my clients to the latest WoW version and was able to log in the account but not log into the game itself.
When I built the World Files I think I was running a later version of WoW. I need to rebuild the world files using the version that this was made for.
If nothing else when someone gets this error they will be able to see this solution. I will respond to this thread if it turns out to be what I did.

Update: It didn't make any difference with the map rebuild - going to have to start from scratch and see if I can figure it out.
Didn't mean to ignore "Give me the link so i can help you." - If it's still not working after this reinstallation I will PM you the link.

Ok I give up on Mangos - Now I am getting other errors starting with:
Initialize data stores...
=============================================== = 92%
Some required *.dbc files (7 from 79) not found or not compatible:
./dbc/BattlemasterList.dbc (exist, but have 34 fields instead 35) Wrong client version DBC file?
I will give the other a try, Attached are some corrections & suggestions I made to the installation instructions:

Updated Post: So that was a little painful but Mangos works - the issue was that I was following the directions and NOT using the latest patches, after I patched to latest and rebuilt the map and dbs files everything worked fine. Might want to update the instructions for this, I wasted a lot of hours this weekend trying to make this work with the wrong version of WoW.

Not being funny but what exactly did I learn?
I am not getting a warm fuzzy feeling here...I feel like I am spinning my wheels and not getting anywhere. What good does it do to have the instructions posted if they aren't right?
